This is one of my favorite spots right down the street from the office here in Highland Park. Good girl dinette is advertised as american diner meets vietnamese comfort food. Thats exactly how I would describe it. You need to keep your eye open when looking for the restaurant. Its a hole in the wall in the up and coming neighborhood of Highland Park.
Inside you will find that its designed in a modern trendy fashion. Once you sit down I would go ahead and order the spicy fries seasoned with chilies, garlic and cilantro. These fries are honestly to die for. I like it with large side of ketchup but they have their own dipping sauce as well. The french infusion is evident in vietnamese food with scrumptious baguettes that are on the menu. The vietnamese soups they serve are very tasty as well. This restaurant is just a nice change to the many mexican restaurants you will find in Highland Park. Also take note will allow you to bring your own wine or beer. In addition they will provide a cork and glasses for serving.
The prices are reasonable not mention the savings by bringing your own booze. Go give it a try and give your taste buds a run for its money. I have included there website for more information.
